Maintenance
Below is a table showing the maintenance frequency. We recommend that you
follow the maintenance table for optimal operation of your printer.
Beware! Maintenance is performed when the printer is shut down and the power
cord has been removed from the electrical outlet.
Frequency Actions to be followed
Daily
Keep the printer clean of dust, in a dry, cool place.
Store the spools in an airtight bag and in a cool place.
Clean the residues of the filament from the printer.
Weekly
Clean the glass.
Clean the nozzle.
Monthly
Clean the fans from any dust.
Clean the bearing rails with a clean cloth and lubricate with 1-2
drops of oil.
[1]
Clean the filament feeder "gear" on the top of the print-head of any
plastic residue.
[2]
Quarterly
Check that the screws are tightened.
[3]
Check that the plugs of all the cables in the print-head are well in
place.
Check the belts to be well tightened.
[4]
[1] The oil supplied for lubrication of the rods/rails is sewing machine oil.
[2] To be able to clean the filament residues from the feeder “gear”, you must
first remove the motor’s metal cover. Then clean any residues with compressed
air.
[3] Do not over tighten the screws. The threads can break down.
[4] The properly stretched belt will make a similar sound like a guitar string.
