Rear brake (Drum brake)
1. Measure the free play of the rear brake lever at
the lever end as shown in the figure.
2. Free play of brake lever before the engagement
of brake should be between 10 ~ 15 mm.
3. If the measured distance is more than the limit,
adjust the nut provided at the rear wheel end to
obtain the correct play.
4. Turn the adjuster nut in clockwise direction for
reducing free play or in anti-clockwise direction
for increasing the free play.
10 ~ 15 mm
Check front brake and rear brake play periodically.
However the brake play needs to be adjusted more
frequently depending upon the usage.
Warning
Please remember that the rear brake lever free play
adjustment to be done only after adjusting the front
brake lever play incase of SBS type brake (Drum type).
