VSD overheating alarm

VSD is ready

VSD operates and the ambient temperature is

below the maximum operating temperature of

VSD

Reduce VSD load or use VSD suitable to work with this ambient temperature.

Not

Check that VSD cooling fans are working.

Diagnose the reasons for a fan not turning ON

«Cooling fans do not work».

The value of the alarm

«Power switches

overheating

» is set correctly

In the UMKA07 controller menu, go to the

«Commissioning» life cycle, select

«Alarm setting», select the «Power switches overheat» submenu, the «OFF
IGBT temperature

» parameter value must be set to «120 C» or «248 F»

Check that there are no foreign objects in the air

intake area at the rear of the VSD

Ensure free air intake from the back of the VSD - at least 500 mm (20 inch)
from the back of the VSD to any air-tight obstacle.

Not

Not

Not

Check that the hot air exhaust compartments are

free of foreign objects.

Visually check for foreign objects in the lower part of the VSD that could block
the air exhaust channel; if there are such objects, remove them from the hot air
exhaust channels.

Not

Inverter cooling fan does not rotate

Check that the voltage of 230V +15 -15 V is reaching the CB6 breaker, the
circuits of TB1, TB56-

TB57 terminals are on the terminals of the «N» and

«230V_B1» circuits. If these conditions are met and the fan does not rotate,
replace the fan with a working one.

Yes
