EASyPLUS Encoder/Decoder - Operation Manual V8.09

EAS-CAP Delivery Server

The

EAS-CAP Delivery Server

group provides settings for delivering messages to external

servers via an HTTP interface. The EASyCAP Encoder/Decoder and Integrated Server use

this interface to receive EAS messages from the EASyPLUS.
Note that this feature must

be licensed before it’s

operational.

1. Select the

Enable the EAS-CAP Server to deliver EAS messages to external

clients

check box to enable the server interface.

2. Select the

Deliver locally generated messages

check box to deliver messages that

are locally generated. This includes messages manually originated by an operator

or messages automatically generated by the EASyPLUS (random RWT messages).

3. Select the

Deliver Non-EAS messages

check box to deliver custom (not EAS)

messages.

4. Enter the TCP port used to deliver messages in the

EAS Server TCP Port box.

The default value is 59901.

COM 2 Device Settings

The

COM 2 Device Settings

group is used to configure

the COM-2 Serial Port to send EAS messages to character

generator and monitoring equipment.

1. Select the

BAUD Rate

of the COM-2 Serial Port, the

default is 9600 BAUD.

2. Select the

Message Protocol

that will be used for the

COM-2 Serial Port

3. A

Beginning

Tag

and

Ending Tag

can be entered

if the message protocol is set to

Log Text

News

Feed

. These tags are used by the receiving equipment

to detect the start and end of an alert message.
