Installing and Removing Options

9 

 If it is not connected, connect the CD-ROM audio cable to the CD-ROM audio

interface connector (CN5) on the motherboard. If the IDE drive cable is not
already connected to the motherboard, connect one end of the IDE drive cable to
the secondary EIDE connector (CN15) on the motherboard.

When you insert the connector into the IDE connector on the
motherboard if you do not correctly match the red wire on the cable with
pin 1 on the IDE connector, you could severely damage your CD-ROM
drive.

Caution

If you connect the CD-ROM drive to the primary EIDE connector
(CN10) as a slave, it sometimes cannot work.
