Firebacks

WARNING

Turn off gas to the appliance and make sure it has fully cooled prior to conducting service.

Remove  the  glass  frame  and  logs  (see  the  manual  for  details).

IMPORTANT  INSTALLATION  NOTE  FOR  MODELS  USING  THE  ACCENT  LIGHT:

Follow  the  steps  below  if  installing  the  firebacks  with  an  accent  light.

 

Remove the burner (see page 36).

 

Install  the  rear  fireback  (see  the  directions  below).

 

Install  the  accent  light  (page  41).

 

Replace  the  burner.

 

Install  the  side  firebacks  (see  the  directions  on  the  following  page).

Install  the  rear  fireback  following  the  directions  below.

NOTE: make sure the mortar line on the 

edge of the fireback is positioned on the 

lower edge.  It may be facing inwards or 

outwards, depending upon which brick 

pattern is facing outwards.

Hold the rear fireback face down, 

slide the top behind the baffle on 

top of the firebox, and pivot it back 

into place.  It rests on the shelf at 

the back of the firebox.
