6.2 General instructions for cabling
If the SSI-BOX is the last station on the Profibus line, the DIP switches for the Profibus
terminator must be switched on (connection of terminating resistor). Otherwise, these
switches must be switched off.
The Profibus terminals A and B are duplicated to allow the incoming and outgoing
signals to be wired separately.
Terminals are available for an integrated Synchronous Serial Interface (SSI).
TR-Electronic recommends for the operation to use only bus cables certified by the
Profibus User Organization (PNO).
The BCD address switches 10
0
and 10
1
are used to set the station address for the
Profibus between 3 and 99.
