3.4 Which configuration is to be used?
The type file or device master file contains four nominal configurations for the PNO
Class 1 and 2, each with 16 and 32-bit resolution and two nominal configurations for
TR-specific extensions.
PNO configurations
"Box+rotary encoder class-1/16" or "Box+rotary encoder class-1/32"
class-1/16: 16 bit inputs (master), class-1/32: 32 bit inputs (master)
no encoder scaling
, the encoder operates with the standard resolution specified
on the rating plate.
Limitation of the diagnostic data
to 16 bytes
Changing of the
code sequence
possible
"Box+rotary encoder class-2/16" or "Box+rotary encoder class-2/32"
class-2/16: 16 bit inputs / outputs, class-2/32: 32 bit inputs / outputs
Encoder scaling possible
, however the
measuring units per revolution
must
be an
integer
and the
number of revolutions
must be a
second power
.
Preset adjustment
via the bus
Changing of the
code sequence
possible
TR configurations
"Box+rotary encoder TR Gear"
32 bit inputs / outputs
Encoder scaling possible
, the
measuring units per revolution
can be a
comma
number
and the
number of revolutions
a
broken number
(no second power)
Preset adjustment
via the bus
Changing of the
code sequence
possible
Programming of the output code,
Profibus- and SSI-interface
Programming of the preset value
for the external preset inputs 1 and 2
"Box+linear encoder"
Designated for the configuration of linear encoders, starting from software version 011.
At software versions up to 010 the configuration must be made by linear encoders
exclusively via the TR configuration
"box +rotary encoder TR Gear"
