3.5 Which SSI-format do the configurations need ?
PNO configurations
All PNO configurations (class 1/16, class 1/32, class 2/16, class 2/32) exclusively
need the TR-SSI-format:
TR encoder type
SSI binary with 28 data bits and 15 bit checksum
Output format
Revolutions, 12 bit
Steps / Revolution, 16 bit
TR checksum
28 data bits
15 bit
0 0 x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x 0 0 0 0
MSB (2
42
)
(2
15
) (2
14
)
LSB (2
0
)
Programmings < 12 bits (revolutions) are completed MSB-sided accordingly with
"0". Programmings < 16 bit (steps/revolution) are completed LSB-sided (starting
from 2
15
) accordingly with "0".
The bit pattern entered into the output format corresponds to the encoder
resolution 4096 steps/revolution x 1024 revolutions.
TR configuration
The TR configuration
"Box+rotary encoder TR Gear"
can be operated with different
SSI-formats:
Rotary encoders
1. TR encoder type
SSI binary with 28 data bits and 15 bit checksum (see PNO configurations)
2. General encoder type
SSI binary with 24 data bits, 4096 steps/rev. x 4096 rev., tree-format
Output format
Revolutions, 12 bit
Steps / Revolutions, 12 bit
24 data bits
x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x
MSB (2
23
)
LSB (2
0
)
The encoder absolutely must have the programming, which is specified above. The
SSI-BOX is reduced in the programming (see use notes of this configuration on
page 23).
