2.5 Control unit connection

REX Force

Prepare the cable for the connection

Prepare the cable for the connection between ST REX and

ST REX smart on the opposite leaf:
• Shorten the cable and the cable reserve to the required length.

• Remove the outer jacket

at both ends without damaging

the underlying jacket:

approx. 20-25cm

• Remove the inner mantle at both ends without damaging

the screen

approx. 5cm

• Unbundle and twist the shield

(2b)

• Remove plastic sheathing and plastic core at the end of

the line

(3a)

• Provide the shield

(2c)

with end splice and insulate with

shrink tube.

• Provide cables with end splice

(3b)

• Make the connection

(

see above / page 16, 17).

Bus cables to the engine control units ST REX smart

• The main control unit ST REX must be connected with a

shielded bus line to the engine control unit ST REX smart

(terminals 84 → 84, 85 → 85 and 86 → 86).

Cable type:

e.g. PVC control cable for grounding (in ground

hose) CAN-BUS earth 1 x 2 x 0,5mm

or equivalent.

•

The max. cable length of the bus cables is 25m.
