Transport Lock Position
Adjusting the Height-of-Cut
The height-of-cut can be adjusted from 1-1/2 to
4-1/2 inch (38 to 114 mm) in 1/4 inch (6 mm)
increments by relocating the clevis pin into different
hole locations.
1. Push on the deck lift pedal with your foot and raise
the mower deck to the transport position (also
the 4-1/2 inch (114 mm) cutting height position)
(Figure 25).
2. To adjust, remove the pin from the height-of-cut
bracket (Figure 25).
3. Select a hole in the height-of-cut system
corresponding to the height-of-cut desired and,
insert the pin (Figure 25).
4. Push on the deck lift pedal with your foot and raise
the height-of-cut lever slightly to disengage the
transport lock. Lower the deck slowly until the pin
makes contact with the lever.

Using the Lock Positions
The deck can be locked in the highest height-of-cut or
transport position or the lowest height-of-cut position.
1. Push on the deck lift pedal with your foot and raise
the mower deck to the transport position (also
the 4.5 inch (114 mm) cutting height position)
(Figure 25).
2. Remove the pin from the height-of-cut bracket
(Figure 25).
3. Select a hole on the lock decal and insert the pin
(Figure 25).
4. Push on the deck lift pedal with your foot and raise
the height-of-cut lever slightly to disengage the
transport lock. Lower the deck to slowly until the
pin makes contact with the lever.
Adjusting the Anti-Scalp
Rollers
Whenever you change the height-of-cut, it is
recommended to adjust the height of the anti-scalp
rollers.
1. Disengage the blade control switch (PTO), move
the motion control levers to the neutral lock
position and set the parking brake.
2. Stop the engine, remove the key, and wait for all
moving parts to stop before leaving the operating
position.
