1 Prepare the reagents according to the separate method sheet.
2 Insert the reagent tubes all the way to the bottom of the corre -
sponding bottles (see Reagent tube numbering, p. 36 ).
3 Check that there is an additional small hole in the lid of each
bottle that allows air to enter.
Final steps 4 Prime the reagent tubes (see Priming the Reagent Tubes, p. 25 ).
5 Perform a manual measurement.
 If the result is satisfactory, no calibration is needed.
6 If necessary, calibrate the instrument (see Manual Measurement
and Calibration, p. 40 ).
