e) Heat-resistant rubber mat
The small heat-resistant rubber mat, included in the delivery, can be
used as surface when replacing a hot soldering tip.
The thin end can, for example, be tied around one of the connection
cables (push X-shaped end through the opening).
f) Brass wool (dry cleaner)
Using the brass wool in the two support holders (also referred to as dry cleaner), it is easy to strip off the residual
solder (e.g. from the soldering iron) carefully. Using water-soaked sponges as has been customary not only reduces
the temperature of the soldering tips (resulting in the need to heat-up again), but can also lead to a shorter service life
of the soldering tips.
After long use, it may be useful to remove residual solder from the
brass wool, so that stripping off solder is possible again.
To do this, take the the brass wool out of the support holders (if nec-
essary, wait until any solder just stripped off has completely cooled
down first). Shake out the brass wool; dispose of solder residue in an
environmentally-friendly manner.
g) General information
Repair work should only be carried out by a specialist. The same applies for maintenance procedures other than those
described in these operating instructions.
Before cleaning, switch the product off and unplug the mains plug from the mains socket.
Allow the entire product to cool down completely.
The product should only be cleaned with a clean, soft and dry cloth. Dust can easily be removed with the help of a
clean, long-haired brush and a vacuum cleaner.
Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions as they can damage the housing (discolour-
ing) or impair operation.
11. Error messages on the display
Error code, error type
Description

The heating unit (of the soldering iron, desoldering gun, soldering tweezers or
hot air nozzle) is faulty or there is a contact problem.
“E-2” error, sensor error
The temperature sensor (of the soldering iron, desoldering gun, soldering
tweezers or hot air nozzle) is faulty or there is a contact problem.
