retina of the patient.
Corneal curvature
Project the ring light by the visible light LED to the corneal anterior surface
of the patient’s
eye and receive the reflection light shape with the photodetector. Calculate the corneal
curvature of the corneal anterior surface by the receiving the light shape and size.
Intraocular pressure
Blow the compressed air to the patient’s eye and then make the cornea change. At the same
time, emit the infrared light LED to the corneal anterior surface of the
patient’s eye
and detect
the reflection light strength with the optics sensor and then it is possible to know the cornea
deformed state and calculate the intraocular pressure with the applanation pneumatic pressure.
Corneal thickness
Emit the infrared light LED to the cornea in an oblique direction and detect the corneal
surface and the corneal back side with the photodetector symmetrically located to the incident
light. Measure the distance between the corneal surface reflection image and the corneal back
side reflection image and then calculate the corneal thickness.
Corneal curvature radius by corneal shape
Emit the ring pattern of the concentric ring which is consisting of the visible light LED to the
corneal anterior surface and take the reflection image with CCD camera. Calculate the
curvature distribution of each corneal part with image analysis in detail from the scanned ring
pattern image shape and size and then display the mapping image of the corneal shape.
