REPAIR & ADJUSTMENTS

MINIMUM VOLUME CONTROL ADJUSTMENT

The minimum volume control provides an adjustable minimum hydraulic pump volume
regardless of hydraulic system pressure. The minimum volume control is preset at the
factory but may need to be adjusted, particularly after pump repair or replacement or if
supply voltage is not 60 Hz. The minimum volume control must be adjusted properly to
provide satisfactory pump operation.

1. Disconnect electrical power and follow your company’s lock out and tag out safety

procedures.

2. Open the electrical control panel and attach an amp meter to one leg of the voltage

supply wiring above the contactor

3. Turn on the electrical power to the

pelletizer.

4. Begin operation according to the pro-

cedure found on page 4.2.

5. Monitor the amp meter while the pel-

letizer makes dry ice. The amp read-
ing should peak at the amputating
which corresponds to the machine
voltage as indicated on the motor data
plate. If the amp reading is too high
or too low proceed to the next step.

6. Using a 3/4” wrench, loosen the mini-

mum volume control locknut by turn-
ing it counterclockwise.
