The "Splice Head" box enables movement of the splice head left or right.
Positive motion is to the right.
The number shown is the position of the
Splice Head in microns. Where "0" indicates the View position.
The "Right Rotation" box enables rotation of the right fiber holder, for
the same reasons one would employ left rotation.
Positive is defined as
clockwise, as seen from the furnace (so the lid will go forwards and
down and with positive motion).
The "Right X" and "Right Y" boxes enable the user to move the right
fiber holding block front-to-back (X axis) and up and down (Y-axis). The
number shown is the position of the right block in microns, the positive
direction in X is defined as "Front to Back."
Again, the number shown is the position of the right block in microns.
The Y direction is up and down. The positive direction is defined as
"Down to Up."
The "Right Block" box allows the user to move the right fiber handler left
and right (Z-axis). The number shown is the position of the right block
in microns, and the positive direction is defined as "left", inwards or
towards the splice head. For the right block, "0" is the right-most position
(home).
