Operation

Advanced use

Select the

Advanced use

option from the

Picture

menu and press

to display the menu.

Picture mode

: this function is used to apply different settings which improve the quality of the picture. Select an option

from the list using the

buttons:

Progressive Scan

: improves the picture’s vertical resolution. Recommended for NTSC sources.

100 Hz

: improves colour rendering.

Hi Pix

: makes movement and the running sequence of images more natural and reduces flickering.

Note: This function is only available for certain audio-visual sources.

Automatic format

: automatically applies the appropriate format to the picture. Check this box by pressing

to enable

this function.

Tone

: adjusts the colour temperature. Select an option from the list using the

buttons.

Auto skin tone

: improves skin tone rendering. Check the box to enable this function by pressing

Tint

: is used to adjust the picture’s tint.

Note: This function is only available for NTSC audio-visual sources.

Picture rotation

: compensates for the effects of the earth’s magnetic field and provides a picture with perfect

horizontal alignment. Press the

button to make the picture rotate clockwise and press the

button to make the picture

rotate anticlockwise.

Photo Mode

: improves quality and stability of still pictures.When this function is enabled still pictures are detected

automatically and their resolution enhanced. Check the box to enable this function by pressing

Film mode

: detects that the programme being broadcast is a film and enhances picture quality. Select an option from the

list using the
