8.3.5 Head Offset Adjustment
•
Use “Flexrohead.key” in this adjustment
- Set KF96 plate to turntable position 1 and make sure tip comb is on its place
- Select “h well bottom”
- KF96 plate must not move but tips should be as close as possible the KF96 plate bottom.
You can ensure this by adjusting with command
“head off down” by one command at
time, until the tips touch the plate and then give one command “head off up”
- If plate is moving downwards along the tips select “head off up”
- If plate is not moving but clearance is too big select “head off down”
- Always after adjustment select “h up” --> “h plate level” --> “h well bottom” to check
adjustment accuracy
- After adjustment select “h up” .
8.3.6 Turntable Straightness Check
Note: If alignment plates are not available do straightness test just visually observing the
turntable while rotating it.

Use “Flexrohead.key” in this test
- Turn (flip) around alignment plate to position 1 and set other KF96 alignment plates to
positions 3, 5, 7 similarly
- Select “h plate level” and “h levelness” .
- Adjust tip level by changing value “610” using command “moh 610 80” so that the lowest
corner of tip level is as close as possible to alignment plate (but not touching it)
- to increase moh -value --> tip level downwards
- to decrease moh -value --> tip level upwards
- Check with feeler gauge that clearance from other corners to alignment plate is less than
0,5 mm
- Write down turntable position, the highest tip level corner from alignment plate and
adjusted moh value
- Select “h up”
- Select “pos 3”
- Select “h plate level” and “h levelness”
- Adjust tip level by changing value “610” using command “moh 610 80” so that the lowest
corner of tip level is as close as possible to alignment plate (but not touching it)
- Check with feeler gauge that clearance from other corners to alignment plate is less than
0,5 mm
- Write down turntable position, the highest tip level corner from alignment plate and
adjusted moh value
- Adjust positions 5 and 7 similarly
- Adjust tip level height to minimum moh value used
- Check in other positions the clearance from highest tip level corners to alignment plate:
Min./max “moh” -value in tested position must not effect more than 1 mm clearance.
- Select “h up”
- Remove alignment plates.
