6 Operation
6.1 Principle of operation
When you power on the instrument, it will be in the READY state. From the
READY state you can choose to modify the setup parameters (Section 5.3.3
Setup) or the protocol parameters (Section 6.2 Programming protocols). If you
have already programmed protocols, while in the READY state, you can start to
preheat the required slots (Section 6.5 Preheating and heating) before starting
the operation (Section 6.4.3 Operation). It is also possible to start shaking the
slots without heating as a separate function (Section 6.6 Shaking). For an
overview of the operations, see Fig. 6.1 below.
