Independent - All DIMMs are available to the operating system.
Channel Mirror - The motherboard maintains two identical copies of all data in
memory for redundancy.
Lockstep - The motherboard uses two areas of memory to run the same set of opera-
tions in parallel.
Demand Scrubbing
A memory error-correction scheme where the Processor writes corrected data back
into the memory block from where it was read by the Processor. The options are
Enabled and
Disabled .
Patrol Scrubbing
A memory error-correction scheme that works in the background looking for and
correcting resident errors. The options are Enabled and
Disabled .
Throttling - Closed Loop
Throttling improves reliability and reduces power in the processor by automatic
voltage control during processor idle states. The options are Disabled and
Enabled .
3.3.5 NorthBridge Chipset Configuration
This feature allows the user to configure North Bridge settings. The items included
in the submenu are listed below.
3.3.5.1 Intel I/O AT
This feature works with the Intel I/O AT (Acceleration Technology) to accelerate the
performance of TOE devices. (
Note : A TOE device is a specialized, dedicated pro-
cessor that is installed on an add-on card or a network card to handle some or all
packet processing of this add-on card.) When this feature is set to Enabled, it will
enhance overall system performance by providing direct memory access for data
transferring. The options are
Enabled and Disabled.
3.3.5.2 DCA Technology (Available when Intel I/OAT is enabled)
This feature works in conjunction with the Intel I/O AT (Acceleration Technology)
