RES-12XR3-S for X8DAL-3/i Installation Manual

3.3.6.2 Legacy USB Support

Select Enabled to use Legacy USB devices. If this item is set to Auto, Legacy USB
support will be automatically enabled if a legacy USB device is installed on the
motherboard, and vice versa. the settings are Disabled, 

Enabled

 and Auto.

3.3.6.3 USB 2.0 Controller

Select Enabled to activate USB 2.0 Controller. The options are 

Enabled 

and Dis-

abled. (

Note

: If the item - USB Functions is enabled, USB 2.0 Controller will always

be enabled. When the item - USB Functions is set to Disabled, the user has the
option to enable or disable USB 2.0 Controller.)

3.3.6.4 USB 2.0 Controller Mode

This setting allows you to select the USB 2.0 Controller mode. The options are 

Hi-

Speed (480 Mbps

) and Full Speed (12 Mbps). 

3.3.6.5 BIOS EHCI Hand-Off

Select Enabled to enable BIOS Enhanced Host Controller Interface support to pro-
vide a workaround solution for an operating system that does not have EHCI Hand-
Off support. When enabled, the EHCI Interface will be changed from the BIOS con-
trolled to the OS-controlled. The options are Disabled and 

Enabled

.

3.3.6.6 HDA Controller

Select Enabled to activate the onboard High-Definition Audio controller. The
options are 

Enabled 

and Disabled.

3.3.6.7 Route Port 80h Cycles to

This feature allows the user to decide which bus to send debug information to. The
options are PCI and 

LPC

.

IDE/SATA Configuration

When this submenu is selected, the AMI BIOS automatically detects the presence of
the IDE devices and displays the following items:
