PROCEDURE (REMOVAL) 

 

Retain any bolts, nuts (except lock-nuts) spacers, screws and washers (with the exception of lock-
washers) for reassembly. 

 

1. 

Remove the vertical stabilizer. Refer to paragraph 4.2.2.3. 

2. 

Disconnect the trim tab motor cable connection plug (1). 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3. 

Support  the  horizontal  stabilizer  and  unfasten  and  remove  the  bolts  (2)  retaining  it  to  the 
fuselage. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

4. 

Carefully lift the horizontal stabilizer free from the fuselage.
