To configure the pipeline flattener mode for the XDS522A, take the following
steps:
1) Set switches S1 to S4, S7, and S8 to the following defaults, or to the set-
tings you need:
S1 Down
S2 Down
S3 Down
S4 Up
S7 Down
S8 Down
2) Set switches S5 and S6 for the flattener mode you want, as listed in the
following table:

Flat multi word S5
S6 Up
Down
Flat first word S5
S6 Up
Up
Unflattened S5
S6 Down

3) Specify the flattener mode to the BTT software. Include the –r
n option on
the command line when you invoke the BTT software. Use one of the fol-
lowing:
–r3 Unflattened mode
–r4 Flat first word mode
–r5 Flat multi word mode
