Your new receiver can read USB memory sticks with the
specifi cations USB 1.0 and 2.0 and a capacity of up to
8 gigabytes and play back music fi les in MP3 format or
WMA and photos in JPEG format that are saved on it.
USB stands for “universal serial bus”. Every modern
computer has a USB port for connecting a keyboard and
mouse. USB storage sticks were originally developed as
an alternative to computer diskettes and enable con-
venient data transport. These convenient sticks can now
also be used with digital cameras and music playback
devices.
Handling mobile storage devices
USB sticks are sensitive electronic devices and must
therefore be handled with care. If you are not using your
storage device, be absolutely sure to store it in its protec-
tive sleeve or have its protective cap on.
Important
Do not use any storage devices that exhibit
mechanical
damages or have fallen in a liquid.
Do not subject the storage devices to direct sunlight

sible, backup your music on your PC.
Inserting and playing a USB stick
1. With the button

“AV Source” select DVD/Blu-ray
mode and if necessary, stop playback.
2. Now insert the USB stick in the jack

“USB”. Do not
attempt to do so forcefully, the stick only fi ts the port in
one position.
3. The USB stick will now be read. The mes-
sage “MEDIA” will appear on the display
panel

The menu items “Images”, “Videos” and “Music” will ap-
pear shortly thereafter if corresponding fi les are located
on the stick.
The playback functions for CD and USB are identical and
are described in the next section “Playback functions”.
Removing a USB stick
Attention
Risk of damage!
Never remove the USB stick if the receiver is
still accessing it!
1. Stop playback with the button
