The installation instructions apply to the
LTX 2RU
Refer to
Figure 4-4-1
for this procedure
1.
Route a pigtail fiber from connector into the splice tray at the opposite corner entrance from where IFC fibers route
into the tray.
NOTE: Keep track of individual fibers entering the splice tray. Place each individual fiber from the first 12 fibers
entering the tray into separate entrance slots. Place the next 12 fibers on top of the first twelve and the third group
of 12 fibers on top of the first and second groups. Up to 36 fibers can enter the tray (three fibers will end up being in
each entry slot.)
2. Loosely route each individual pigtail fiber through the tray maintaining a bend radius of no less than 7 inches. Keep
the fiber beneath the protective tabs along the edge of the splice tray.
3. Route the fiber through the tray around the sleeve holder position and into the corresponding sleeve holder about
halfway so that fiber ends do not touch the IF fibers.
4. For each fiber routed into the tray, repeat this section (until 36 pigtail fibers have been routed into this splice tray).
As fibers are added record locations on the designation label attached to the panel door.
5. After completing this section, repeat
Section 4.1.4
,
Route Protected 12-Strand Ribbon Fiber in LTX Panel Slack
Area
, and then
Section 4.1.5
,
Install Ribbon Fibers in the Splice Tray
, and then this section (
Section 4.1.6, Route
Pigtail Fibers in the Splice Tray)
again for the next splice trays working from lowest tray to the highest tray.
NOTE: Ensure designation label is marked with correct designation information.
Pigtail fibers route from connectors that connect adapters to jumpers and patch the fibers in the LTX panel.
Refer to
Section 4.1.5, Install Pigtail Fiber Connectors
before completing this section.
