Removal and Installation Procedures

TLA600 Series Logic Analyzer Service Manual

Replacing the Hard Disk Drive

To replace the hard disk drive, follow these instructions:

Remove the trim and covers by following the procedure on page 6--7.

For an internal monitor logic analyzer, remove the display following the
procedure on page 6--13.

Locate the hard disk drive shown in Figure 6--5 or Figure 6--8 on page 6--14
or 6--17.

TLA 60X series logic analyzer

remove the closed face bracket following the

procedure located on page 6--17.

Disconnect the ribbon cable connector from the hard disk drive. Note the
cable connector pin location for later reassembly.

Remove the four T-15 Torxdrive screws that secure the hard disk drive
bracket to the chassis.

Lift the hard disk drive and bracket out of the chassis.

Remove the four #1 phillips screws that secure the hard disk drive to the
bracket.

Lift out the old hard disk drive.

Install the new hard disk drive.

11.

Install the four #1 Phillips screws that to mount the hard disk drive to the
bracket.

12.

Replace the hard disk drive and bracket into the chassis.

13.

Install the four T-15 Torxdrive screws that secure the hard disk drive bracket
to the chassis.

14.

Connect the cable connector to the hard disk drive connector.

15.

For an internal monitor logic analyzer, replace the display following the
procedure on page 6--13.

16.

Install the covers and trim following the procedures that start on page 6--6.

17.

Verify the operation by following the procedure on page 6--40.
