Troubleshoot the Benchtop Chassis

Follow the procedure in this section to identify the failed part within the chassis.

The following test equipment is recommended to perform these procedures.

Digital voltmeter (Tektronix DM250 series digital voltmeter)

Oscilloscope, 20 MHz BW, with 10x Probe with < 1-inch ground lead,
(Tektronix TDS400A or TDS500A series oscilloscope)

The fault isolation procedure requires that you:

Verify if the front-panel Standby/On button lights up.

Verify if the blower operates.

Measure voltages.

Front-Panel Standby/On button.

The Standby/On switch in the upper-right of the

front panel should light up when pressed. The blower in the rear should power
on.

NOTE

. Before replacing circuit boards, be sure to inspect all associated cables

and connectors for damage and proper installation.
