Waveform Measurements

You use waveform measurements to determine specific
characteristics of waveforms.

Frequency and Period

Frequency

represents the number of times a signal repeats

itself in one second. The frequency of a signal is measured
in Hertz (Hz).

Period

represents the time in which a signal

completes one cycle. Figure 1.12 shows the frequency and
period of a sine wave.
