Persistence

A method of retaining old data on the
display for a period of time. With
persistence turned off, the points decay
quickly. With persistence on, the points
decay more slowly or not at all, depending
on the setting.

PictBridge®

An industry open standard from the
Camera & Imaging Products Association
(CIPA) for direct printing. It allows images
to be printed directly from the oscilloscope
to a printer, without having to connect the
oscilloscope to a computer.

Sample

Acquisition

Mode

A mode in which the oscilloscope creates
a record point by saving the first sample
during each acquisition interval. This is the
default mode of the acquisition system.

Sample

Interval

The time interval between successive
samples in a waveform record. Changing
the SEC/DIV control (the time base)
changes the sample interval.

Single
Sequence
Acquisition

Mode

A mode in which a single acquisition
sequence of the selected input signals is
displayed.
