Installation
This section describes the procedures to install your mainframe. It includes
procedures for installing the mainframe with the rackmount or cable tray options.
This section does not include specific procedures for installing modules in the
mainframe. Refer to your module documentation for information regarding the
module installation instructions.
The VX1410 IntelliFrame is designed to operate on a bench or in a rackmount
environment. For proper cooling, allow at least two inches (5.1 cm) of clearance
on the rear and sides of the mainframe. Determine how you will use your
VX1410 IntelliFrame and follow the appropriate installation instructions. If you
ordered your mainframe with one of the cable tray options and one of the
rackmount options, install the cable trays before installing the rackmount.
WARNING.
Use care when lifting or moving the mainframe to avoid personal
injury while performing the installation procedures.
The VX1410 IntelliFrame comes a with 0.75-inch cable access area on the
bottom of the mainframe (1-inch with the feet installed for bench-top operation).
You can order the mainframe with the optional cable trays and install the cable
