Troubleshooting Procedures

HDVG1 HDTV Digital Video Generator Service Manual

Use the Module Removal procedure on page 5--7 to remove the

affected module.

Check for bent or damaged pins on the three Backplane board

connectors (P1, P2, and P3). Carefully straighten any bent pins.

Check that all module subassemblies and socketed parts are

seated properly. Reinstall the module in the same slot.

Set the rear-panel power switch to on, and then use the

front-panel switch to turn the instrument on.

Watch the display for the HDVG1 Confidence Tests. Note

whether the HDVG1 module passed the diagnostic.

Note the highest number to appear.
