Triggering

222PS Operator Manual

To select the trigger source, press the menu button next

to the appropriate menu item.

You can also cycle through the menu choices by continuing to

press the frontĆpanel

SOURCE

button. The selected menu item

appears boxed.

When you have selected a trigger source, press

CLEAR

to remove the menu from the screen.

External Triggering

The 222PS has the ability to trigger on an external signal, such as a

clock pulse. The instrument acquires external trigger signals through

the external trigger input and trigger common reference connectors on

the rear panel. These connectors are shown in Figure 3Ć33.

WARNING

To avoid injury, do not connect the trigger common

reference input to voltages greater than 42ĂV peak. The

trigger common reference input is not insulated.
