BIOS SETUP ERROR CODES

E.1 POST

MESSAGES

During the Power On Self Test (POST), if the BIOS detects an error requiring your
attention, it will either sound a beep code, display a message, or both.

If a message is displayed, it will be accompanied by:
“PRESS F1 TO CONTINUE, DEL TO ENTER SETUP”.

E.2

POST BEEP

Currently there is only one beep code in BIOS. This code indicates that a video error has
occurred and BIOS cannot initialize the video screen to display any additional
information. This beep code consists of a single long beep followed by two short beeps.
