Installation: Mounting on pipes / poles
The Cello 6S enclosure
features moulded pipe
locator recesses to allow
it to be positioned
centrally on pipework or
similar.
Pipe should not be carrying
electrical cables, have a
surface temperature below
50
v
C and have a diameter
in the range 22mm to 200mm
(best fit on 22mm)
Notes
1) Where the Cello 6S does not feature an external
antenna connector, i.e. it only has an internal antenna,
then it should be positioned as high up as possible and,
where practical, away from metal structures. In order to
determine optimal Cello 6S performance a signal
strength test should be perfomed (as detailed in the
"Installation: Commissioning - Cello 6 Wizard: Signal
strength" section of this manual) with the Cello 6S being
moved around until the strongest signal strength is
obtained although be aware that it may not be physically
possible to locate it in the perfect location.
2) Where it is required that the enclosure lid is removable
with the Cello 6S remaining in place, for example to
allow for battery or SIM card replacement, then at least
100mm headroom must be allowed for.

Secure the enclosure to the pipe
using a cable tie(s) of sufficient
length to allow it to be looped
around the pipe and through the
integral enclosure mounting lugs
