Disposal of Instrument
5.8.1
Introduction
Follow laboratory procedures for bio-hazardous waste disposal, according to
national and local regulations.
This chapter gives instructions on how to lawfully dispose of waste material
accumulating in connection with the SUNRISE.
CAUTION
OBSERVE ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL ENVIRONMENTAL
REGULATIONS.
ATTENTION
NEGATIVE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE
TREATMENT OF WEEE
•
DO NOT TREAT ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT AS
UNSORTED MUNICIPAL WASTE.
•
WASTE OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT MUST
BE COLLECTED SEPARATELY.
5.8.2
Disposal of Packing Material
According to Directive 94/62/EC on packaging and packaging waste, the
manufacturer is responsible for the disposal of packing material.
Returning Packing Material
If you do not intend to keep the packing material for future use, e.g. for transport
and storage purposes:
Return the packaging of the product, spare parts and options via the field service
engineer to the manufacturer.
5.8.3
Disposal of Operating Material
WARNING
BIOLOGICAL HAZARDS CAN BE ASSOCIATED WITH THE WASTE
MATERIAL (MICROPLATE) OF THE PROCESS RUN ON THE
SUNRISE MICROPLATE ABSORBANCE READER.
TREAT THE USED MICROPLATE, OTHER DISPOSABLES, AND ALL
SUBSTANCES USED, IN ACCORDANCE WITH GOOD LABORATORY
PRACTICE GUIDELINES.
INQUIRE ABOUT APPROPRIATE COLLECTING POINTS AND
APPROVED METHODS OF DISPOSAL IN YOUR COUNTRY, STATE
OR REGION.
