Fault Messages on the Dash Display
An example of a typical control system fault message
is shown to the right. The following list is the list of
faults that can be corrected by the driver/operator. Any
other fault should be referred to a qualified technician
for repair.
Most faults will clear once the fault is corrected. If
the fault does not clear by itself, then cycle the start
switch. If the fault still does not clear, refer the repair
to a qualified technician.

Battery empty
The battery is empty and requires
charging. Vehicle speed is reduced
to protect the battery and control

Low Battery Cut
Battery voltage dropped
below protection threshold
voltage
Possibly an overloaded vehicle.
Vehicle speed is temporarily reduced
until overload condition is corrected.

Device Too Hot
Controller internal tempera-
ture exceeded high tempera-
ture threshold
Motor speed controller has over-
heated. Reduce the load or stop until
temperature is reduced.

Motor in Thermal
Cutback
Motor temperature exceeded
high temperature threshold
Motor has overheated. Reduce the
load or stop until temperature is
reduced.

Seat Fault
Seat or foot or battery box
interlock switch open when
throttle pedal was pressed.
(Your vehicle may not have
the battery box interlock
switch option)
Driver must remain seated while
operating vehicle. If equipped with a
foot switch, the switch must remain
pressed.
