Tank Information
•
Check if there is water at the bottom of the tank.

Visual check
•
Free space below the RTG
. Normally girders and pipes are not
allowed in the radar beam. If there are disturbing objects below the
antenna, the effect on the current measurement must be carefully
evaluated.
•
Check that waveguide, closing and antenna are mounted correctly
and take appropriate actions in order to replace broken parts.

Tank measurements
•
Diameter of the manhole
and the
socket height
. The socket
must not be higher than 330 mm.
•
Note the distance X (mm) between the tank wall and the center of
the RTG. It will be used for calculations of the clearance angle
below the antenna.

Free space requirements
•
Check the
Clearance Angle
plumbline tankwall (arctan X/R). If
the clearance angle is less than 15°, the RTG must be inclined
away from the wall.
