Process of Making Registrations and Settings
This section briefly explains the procedure for carrying out
registration of devices and the making of settings. For details about
viewing the settings window and how to make settings, please refer
to the "RTR-500DC for Windows" Operation Guide.
1. Make Settings for Base Units
1. Connect the Base Unit with a USB cable to your computer.
2. Open the RTR-500DC Settings Utility from the Application Menu.
3. Open the [Base Unit Settings] Menu to make necessary settings.
- Do not connect more than one RTR-500DC to your computer at one time.
Base Unit Registration Items
Unit of Temperature* / Clock / Time-Zone
* Unit of temperature to be used in the Remote Unit recorded data and in the display
of the Remote Unit.
2. Register Data Loggers as Remote Units
1. In the RTR-500DC Settings Utility, open the [Remote Unit Settings] Menu.
2. Click the [Register] button.
3. When the direction appears in the application window, set up the RTR-500DC
and the Remote Unit to enable communication and carry out registration.

3. Register Repeaters (when necessary)
Repeaters can be registered to help increase range and improve
wireless communication.
1. In the RTR-500DC Settings Utility, open the [Repeater Settings] Menu.
2. Click the [Register] button.
3. When the direction appears in the application window, set up the Repeater to
enable communication and carry out registration.
