Tandberg SLR Reference Manual

Test Sequence

The Standalone Diagnostics performs the same tests as
the Diagnostics Cartridge test (see section 10.4
Diagnostic Cartridge above).

When the test has completed with no errors the tape
cartridge will be ejected. No LED’s will be lit (the
Cleaning LED may however be on).

Failure Indication

When a failure has been detected the tape is not
ejected and the (amber) Failure LED will be flashing.

Detailed information can be retrieved by the ‘Receive
Diagnostic Results’ SCSI command.

If an unsupported-, writeprotected- or damaged tape
cartridge was inserted in order to start the Standalone
Diagnostics test, it will be ejected by the drive and
the Amber LED and Activity LED will be flashing while
the Ready LED is off. The two flashing LED’s can be
turned off by clicking the Eject Button.
