Audio CODEC

Data transferred between the two devices is assembled into frames carried
between the tow devices during times slots specifically assigned to
different types of data, as illustrated in Figure 8-7.

The serial data exchanged between the DBRI and codec always contains
eight time slots and all time slots contain 8 bits (64 bits in total). Figure 8-8
shows the timing relationship between the serial clock (SCLK) and frame
sync (FSYNC) signals and the serial data stream. (The TSOUT pin of the
codec is not connected.)
