SOURCE knob
You can select the appropriate listening source by turning this knob; the source
you choose is displayed on the screen. After a brief delay the device switches
over to the selected source.
In addition to selecting the source, the rotary knob also has the following
functions:

A brief press on the knob opens and closes the “
System Configuration
menu
”
(see chapter “
Basic settings of the PDP 3000 HV
”).

During playback of an SACD, a long press switches between layers (see
the chapter entitled “
Special features with Super Audio CD
”)

SELECT knob
During playback, tracks can be selected by turning this control; the selected
track appears on the screen. As soon as the track number you are seeking
lights up, you can start the track by pressing this control.
In addition to track selection, the
SELECT knob is also used for further
functions such as menu control and the creation of playback programs.

Open / Close button

The drawer is opened and closed by touching the

button.
When you operate the button, the drawer opens or closes slowly.
Please ensure that nothing - such as your fingers or any object - gets into the
drawer, or comes between the drawer fascia and the device.
Operating the Open/Close button a second time stops the drawer immediately,
and reverses its direction of travel.

CD drawer
The CD drawer is located below the screen. Lay the disc on the disc support,
with the printed face up, and secure it with the stabiliser (puck) supplied in the
set (see chapter
“Operating the source devices in detail / Operating the
disc player
”
)
The drawer is opened and closed by briefly pressing the

button.
