16 TControl POD glass EC
10. OPERATING MODE
10.1. STAND-BY
Activated by Modbus or a button. In stand-by mode, the controller is not active and the display is off.
The buttons, except the ENTER button, are locked.
The building protection systems remain functional.
If the “access card” function is used, the controller cannot be put into stand-by mode.
10.2. COMFORT
In comfort mode, the controller operates with a
heating setpoint and a cooling setpoint calculated
from the basic setpoint and the comfort dead band
(2°C by default). Refer to the §
page 22 - address 23
10.3. ECO
In ECO mode, the dead band between heating
and cooling is automatically set to the configured
ECO dead band (10°C by default). Refer to the §
, page 22 - address 24.
If a time slot interval with ECO mode is active, the
ECO symbol is shown at the top of the main screen.
When ECO mode is active, the value of the setpoint
offset is not taken into account.
The ECO mode can be activated/deactivated by hourly programming or via Modbus (Refer to the §
, page 22 - address 136). The last changed preset value determines the status.
10.4. IN USE/NOT IN USE
10.5. ACCESS CARD
When the in-use mode is used, a distinction is made between In-use and Not in-use.
The In-use mode corresponds to the Comfort mode.
For the Not In-use mode, the heating setpoint is decreased by the setpoint offset value (Refer to the §
, page 22 - address 25) and the cooling setpoint is increased by the same offset value.
Example:
Heating setpoint = 19°C with in-use mode
Setpoint offset (address 25) = 2°C (default)
The not in-use heat setpoint = 17°C
If the access card is not inserted in the holder, operation is in ECO mode. The navigation buttons are locked,
the screen is turned off and the thermostat uses the default settings for not in-use. If no card is inserted,
the ENTER button can be used to start the unit and activate the Comfort mode.
