9. Transmission range
• The transmission range of the wireless signal between the
remote control and a wireless socket is up to 30 m under op-
timum conditions.
This value, however, is the range when the transmitter
and receiver are visible to each other, without disrupt-
ing the power. In practice, however, there are walls,
rooms, ceilings etc. between the transmitter and the
receiver, which reduce the range accordingly. Due to
the different influences on the wireless transmission,
no specific range can be guaranteed. However, trou
-
ble-free operation is usually possible in a detached
house.
• The range can be reduced by:
- Walls and reinforced concrete ceilings
- Coated or vaporised insulating glass panes
- Proximity to metallic and conductive objects (e.g. heating
elements)
- Proximity to human bodies
- Broadband interference, e.g. in residential areas (DECT
phones, mobile phones, radio headsets, wireless speak-
ers, wireless weather stations, baby monitoring systems,
etc.)
