Making the first call
Switching the key lock on/off
When carrying the handset with you, you may want to switch on the key lock. This pre-
vents any calls be made unintentionally since all key functions are disabled.
Pressing the key for approx. 2 seconds will lock/unlock the keypad. When the keys
are locked, the display shows as well as the
ª
symbol.
Note • Even when the key lock is on, you can answer any incoming call simply by
pressing the talk key .
• You can always dial any of the predefined emergency numbers, even when
the key lock is on.
Set the time and date
Before you make your first phone call you may want to set the correct time and date.
Please follow the procedure described in chapter “Base Station settings / Time and Date”.
