8-32 CHASSIS

BRAKE CALIPER REASSEMBLY AND

INSTALLATION

Reassemble and install the front brake caliper in the reverse
order of disassembly. Pay attention to the following points:

• Clean the caliper bore and piston with specified brake fluid,

especially the dust seal groove and piston seal groove.

Specification and Classification: DOT 4

PISTON SEAL

• Apply SUZUKI SILICONE GREASE to the piston seal.

99000-25100: SUZUKI SILICONE GREASE

• Install the piston seal as shown.

Caliper body

BRAKE CALIPER PISTON

• Install the brake caliper piston.

* Clean the brake caliper components with fresh brake

fluid before reassembly. Never use cleaning solvent

or gasoline to clean them.

* Do no t wip e t he bra ke fl uid off a fter c leaning the

components.

* When cleaning the co mponents, us e th e sp ecified

brake fl uid. Never use different ty pes o f f luid or

cleaning solvents such as gasoline, kerosine or oth-

ers.

* Replace t he p iston se al an d dust s eal wi th a n ew

one.

* Apply brake fluid to the dust seal, brake caliper bore

and piston before reassembly.
