• Vertical installation clearances to combustible mantels vary according

to the depth of the mantel (see

Figure 8 on Page 11)

• Non-combustible mantels may be installed at any height above the

appliance opening.

Optional Outdoor Hearth Extension

All outdoor hearth material (combustible and non-combustible) must

be installed a

minimum of 6" (152 mm) below

the base of the fireplace

(see

Figure 6

Also note the following:
• For vertical installation clearances to combustible outdoor mantels and

overhangs, see

Page 33

and the instructions provided in the Outdoor

Installation Kit (required for all outdoor installations; see

Page 46

• Non-combustible outdoor mantels and overhangs may be installed at

any height above the appliance opening.
