14.2
Adjusting in case of a new water heater, or after service (case A)
14.2.1
G
ENERAL REMARK
For all adjusting steps under
A
the following must be applied: as long as measured CO
2
values differ less than
0.3% from the table values, no adjustment is necessary, because this deviation is typical for the process (O
2
values: ± 0.5%). If, however, larger deviations are measured, adjustment now must be made until the table value
is reached within max. 0.1% deviation (O
2
values: ± 0.2%).
14.2.2
A
DJUSTING AT MAXIMUM LOAD
Adjust at maximum load by carrying out procedure 1, see p.102 .
14.2.3
A
DJUSTING AT MINIMUM LOAD
Adjust at minimum load by carrying out procedure 2, see p.102.
14.3
Adjusting after gas valve replacement, or in case of gas conversion (case B)
The maximum fan speed has to be reduced to convert the water heater into a butane (B/P) appliance
(set parameter P4BD).
14.3.1
G
ENERAL REMARKS
In case
B
, a distinction is made between the setting of boilers containing a single valve (S-WG80-S-WG100) and
boilers containing a double valve (S-WG120-S-WG180).
All adjustments must result in CO
2
percentages within a bandwidth of max. ± 0.1% deviation from the table val-
ues (O
2
values: ± 0.2%).
14.3.2
A
DJUSTING AT MAXIMUM LOAD
S-WG80
/
S-WG100
The water heaters S-WG80 and S-WG100 all have single gas valves, see the drawings on page 97.
First, turn setting screw [2] of the gas valve clockwise until you feel resistance. This means that the valve
is closed,
do not try to tighten the screw any further
.
Now turn screw [2] counter clockwise (open), according to the number of turns in table 2 for the used wa-
ter heater and gas type.
After this, adjust at maximum load by carrying out procedure 1 on p.102.
If the burner doesn’t start up in service mode, turn screw [2] a quarter turn counter clockwise further open, and
try again.
14.3.3
A
DJUSTING AT MINIMUM LOAD
S-WG80
/
S-WG100
Adjust at minimum load by carrying out procedure 2 on p.102.
IMPORTANT: Toggle between high fire and low fire to make fine-tuning adjustments (adjusting the minimum
setting affects the maximum setting and contrariwise).
14.3.4
C
HECKING AND ADJUSTING AT MAXIMUM LOAD
S-WG120
/
S-WG150
/
S-WG180
The water heaters S-WG120, S-WG150 and S-WG180 all have double gas valves, see the drawings on page
97.
First connect a manometer to “p-out” = measuring point [4] of the
left
gas valve (see drawing).
Now, turn setting screws [2] of both gas valves clockwise until you feel resistance. This means that the
valves are closed, do not try to tighten the screws any further in the closed position.
After this, turn screws [2] of both left and right hand gas valve counter clockwise (open), according to the
number of turns in table 2 for the used water heater and gas type.
From now on
only
use the
right hand
gas valve for adjustments on high fire.
Adjust the right hand valve at maximum load by carrying out procedure 1 on p.102.
If the burner
doesn’t start up in service mode, turn screw [2] a quarter turn counter clockwise further open, and
try again.
