8.2 Interface parameter
Serial interface
NOLDEN-multizones controllers of the
NR4000
series can be equipped with a serial interface
RS232
,
RS485
or
0/20mA
(half-duplex).
This allows to set and to read the process- and
configuration datas by a higher level computer or
PLC (here called: master).
The communication is always controlled by the
master. The controller operates as a
slave
with its
own adress and different zones. The adress of the
slave has to be programmed in the configuration
level of the controller.
If there are transmission or other errors detected by
the slave (controller), it doesn‘t accept this data.
The old parameter values are still valid. All datas
are transfered in a hexadecimal, ASCII-coded
format.
Display
Data flow : Indication „
DATA
“ always,
when data exchange (communication)
takes place.
It is not possible to operate the device via the key-
board, if it is set to remote-operation by the master.
The setting of interface parameters takes place in
the device configuration (see chapter 6.1)
after the
parameter „Zone offset“.
Is no interface present,
the parameter „Sample time“ is next as described in
chapter 6.1.
