General remarks about control behavior :
Normally the controller works using PID control b e -
havior. This means, controlling without deviation
and with almost no overshoot during start-up.
The optimal PID-parameters for every system
(=mould) are mostly found by performing a so called
„self-optimizing“ or „autotuning“ by the controller it-
self. Those parameters are convenient in most ca-
ses and guarantee a stable, precise temperature
control.
That‘s why introducing PID parameters by hand
is only required in exceptional cases, e.g. de-
sign faults of the mould as wrong position of the
temperature sensor.
The previously determined PID-parameters are then
overwritten and aren‘t available anymore for control
purpose. If the manual introduction of PID parame-
ters does not lead to a improved control behavior,
another autotuning must then be performed again.

This parameter serves to correct the input signal,
e.g. for the correction of a gradient between the
measuring point and the sensor tip or correction of
the control devition when using P- or PD-action.
