WARNING
Wear protective gloves to reduce the
risk of direct contact with the sharp
cutting edges.
Removing the Cutting Attachment
The cutting attachment mounting
procedure differs according to the
machine version.
N
Shut off the engine.
N
Place the powerhead on the ground
so that it rests securely on the
machine support (1). Position the
end of the drive tube (2) horizontally
or rest it on a raised support.
The tip of the sickle or the chisel's hook
must face the ground.
N
Secure the cutting attachment (3)
so that it does not drop down – e.g.
rest it on a suitable base.
NOTICE
Do not stand or kneel on the gearbox –
this may result in permanent damage.
WARNING
To reduce the risk of injury, secure the
cutting attachment in place before
removing the screws – it may drop down.
Different machine versions
The cutting attachment mounting
procedure differs according to the
machine version.
Version A
N
Release the nuts (1) and take them
off the screws (2).
N
Hold the cutting attachment (3)
securely.
N
Take the screws out of the
guide (4), cutting attachment (3)
and forkhead (5).
N
Remove the cutting attachment
from the forkhead (5).
N
Fit the nuts and screws on the
cutting attachment to ensure they
are not mislaid during sharpening.
